Works entirely offline
Lugát makes no network connections at all. The dictionary and its typefaces are bundled in the app, so every lookup works in aeroplane mode. There are no accounts, no analytics and no advertising — there is no server to send anything to.

A note on the source
Grierson's dictionary is a century old and reflects the assumptions of its era. Some entries are archaic, and some contain language that is offensive by present-day standards. We have not rewritten the source text — editing a historical lexicon would misrepresent it — but Word of the Day, the only content shown without searching for it, is drawn from a filtered subset.
