Lugát is a Kashmiri dictionary and flashcard app published by the Yimberzol Foundation ("we", "us").
Lugát has no accounts, no sign-in, no analytics, no advertising, and no tracking. We do not collect, store, transmit, or sell any personal information about you. Nothing you type into the app leaves your device.
| Data | Where it lives | Leaves your device? |
|---|---|---|
| The dictionary itself | Bundled in the app | No |
| Words you mark as favourites | In memory, for the current session only | No |
| Flashcard progress | In memory, for the current session only | No |
| Search terms | Never stored, not even locally | No |
Favourites and flashcard progress are not written to disk in this version — they are cleared when you close the app. If a future version saves them, it will save them locally on your device only, and this policy will be updated.
Lugát makes no network connections at all. The dictionary and both typefaces are bundled inside the app, so every lookup, definition, and flashcard works fully offline — in aeroplane mode, on a dead SIM, anywhere.
There is no server to send anything to. We could not collect your searches even if we wanted to.
Lugát is a reference work. It does not knowingly collect any information from anyone, including children under 13, because it does not collect information from anyone at all. It complies with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) by collecting nothing.
There are none. We do not use Firebase, Google Analytics, Facebook SDK, or any attribution, advertising, or crash-reporting service.
If you download Lugát from the App Store, Apple collects information about that download and your interactions with the App Store under Apple's own privacy policy. We only ever see anonymous, aggregated sales and download counts through App Store Connect. We cannot identify individual users from it.
Because we hold no personal data about you, there is nothing for us to disclose, correct, export, or delete on request. Deleting the app removes everything it placed on your device. This position is consistent with the GDPR, the CCPA, and India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act.
If this policy changes, the "last updated" date above changes with it. Material changes will be noted in the app's release notes.
